WHERE TECHNIQUE MEETS INTENTION.

Aura is where technique meets intention. A training program for the dancer ready to refine their heels technique and commercial choreography with precision and purpose. Led by Laura Kirchner and Lauren Maynard, Aura is for those who crave individualized feedback and a community where their sensual expression is not only welcomed, but celebrated. Designed for the performer ready to command the camera and own the stage.

AURA IS DIVIDED INTO TWO TIERS:

FOUND

For the dancer comfortable in a beginner drop-in class, ready for more intentional technical guidance. At ease in a heel and eager to grow into more challenging choreography as their performance experience begins to take shape.

Found dancers will develop one three-minute routine.

FELT

For the dancer comfortable in an intermediate class, ready to refine what they already know. Confident in keeping up and moving in a heel, but craving the guidance to polish their technique and deepen their performance experience as they step fully into their potential.

Felt dancers will work across three routines throughout the term.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

SCHEDULE

Fridays 8:00pm - 10:00pm

Each session opens with dedicated technique training, followed by choreography. An hour designed to build the foundation, and an hour to bring it to life.

Term 1: March 20 - June 26

SESSIONS

Aura runs the length of one 15-week term divided into three 5-week sessions. Auditions are required to join, though you're welcome to commit to one session at a time. Each session builds toward its own moment: a filmed video, an intimate in-house performance, and a live club show.

  • Session 1: March 20th - April 17th

  • Session 2: April 24th - May 22nd

  • Session 3: May 29th - June 26th

Per five week session $220 + GST = $231

Acceptance into Aura is by audition and placement only, as spots are limited. Dancers must be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate a foundation in heels technique and jazz funk choreography to be considered for placement in either tier.

Not sure if you're ready? Come anyway. The audition exists not to close doors, but to make sure you walk through the right one.
